There are many reasons to use sound deadener. Here are a few of those reasons:
• Rattles
• Stereo Systems
• Luxury
• Ultimate Sound Quality
• No Alien Mind Control
I personal like the sound of getting into a Corvette or Lexus and hear the door shut once, instead of hearing it rattle through the floorboard, etc. What this guy does is explain why you want sound deadener and how to install it. Then later they do a product review that will later help you decide which is best for you.

I talked to some other that have done this and finally have an answer.
For the entire interior of the car and doing ever sq inch, you will need approx 170sq/ft. This is a double layer on the firewall too, so you could probably use less.
Now before I give you the answer, this is just based off of what he told me and the price that I found on summit racing, you may be able to find a better price.
Summit Racing has a package of (9) 4.5sq/ft pieces. Since you would need 170 for the entire car, that is about 4.2 packs. The kit is $163.39 per pack, so this equates to $690.

This article suggests a stereo installer as a possible source of material!

Thanks dude!
Once the car is back from the paint booth, I'm finishing the suspension and wheels, then I'm going interior.
