well i have been rolling around with no door panels ever since i changed my interior plastics to black. i originally had tan int. so i pulled the map pockets off and the top trim and cut the fabric off. i then cleaned them up with some miricle orange stuff, and then wiped them with alcohol. i then used mar-hyde vinel paint and gave them a few coats. this stuff dries fast. i finished them both in about 2 hours and now i feel much better. to think i could have done this a year ago.

Those look good! PLEASE let us know how well the dye "wears". That's always been my concern on painting interior pieces....

i dyed the arm rests about 9 months ago and they had a tiny bit of wear where my elbow rests. it was almost unoticiable, but i am very aware. i think this is very acceptable, as i just pulled it off and wiped it with alcohol and put another coat on.

they are gta "dee-lux" door panels with the map pockets removed and my very coveted power door lock delete switch covers. it took me 4 months to find two power door lock delete cars with the deluxe door panels in junk yards. whew. felt much better driving to work last night without being able to see the iner workings of my door....
