Info: Abilene Motels

For those who want a nice little motel, there is a little home owned motel 5 miles down the highway from my house, if anyone is interested in getting a room. I called and they have these rooms as of now: 6 rooms with double beds at $63.19 with tax included....4 rooms with single beds at $52.84 with tax included....2 rooms with King size beds at $57.44 with tax included. They have a pool, a refrigerator, microwave, and a "caffiene breakfast" (whatever that is) in the mornings. They said to call back in the morning and talk to the manager and he might give a better rate than she was allowed to quote. You also need to call pretty quick she said. They cater to the people in the hospital nearby and a few construction people working in the vacinity. Their long distance number is 1-800-959-1001.
Courtyard Marriot wanted $97.74 with tax included for a suite.
There is a Motel 6 on Interstate 20 (west side of Abilene) and it is about 15 miles from here. It is also next to the racetrack.
There is a Best Western, Holiday Inn, and others like that up on the north-east side of Abilene on the Interstate which is about 19 miles from my house.
There is also a lot of room here at the house for camping out with "homestyle facilities nearby"! I can also push the furniture back and make room on the floors here if you want that.(Coed sleeping in the living room!)
