2nd Annual Captain Scott Monier "Calling all Cars" Car Show - Captain Scott Monier of the White Settlement Police Department was killed in the line of duty protecting the citizens of White Settlement. A scholarship fund has been set up in his name to provide financial help to those persons who are seeking a degree in Criminal Justice. April 30, 2005 in White Settlement, TX. located at 8500 I-30 West we will have our 2nd annual "Calling all cars" car show. We will also be having a Motorcycle Poker Run and a Box Car show for children 8-12. We will have Food, Fun, and a lot to see. The Garland Fraternal Order of Police is once again inviting you to the 5th Annual Ronnie Lerma Car and Motorcycle Show benefiting the Garland Independent School District Special Olympic Games. This event was established in memory of Garland Police Officer Ronnie "Animal " Lerma who was killed in the line of duty in a traffic accident on September 21st, 1998. Because of Ronnie's passion for older cars this memorial event evolved. The event will be held at Naaman Forest High School, 4843 Naaman Forest Drive, Garland, Texas on Saturday May 14th, 2005. Times will be as follows: Registration 9:00AM-11:00AM. Judging 11:00AM-12:00PM. Awards 1:00PM-2:00PM. Dash Plaques will be available to the first 75 entrys. The Classes this year are as follows: Muscle Car, Street Rods, Sports Car (2 seater only), Corvette Class, Import Class, Law Enforcement Class, Pre-50's Car, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 00& Newer, Open Car. Pre-70's Truck, 70's, 80's, 90's, 00 & newer, Open Truck and Open Motorcycle Class. There will be 1st and 2nd place trophies for each class along with Best of Show in each of the Car, Truck, and Motorcycle Classes. The Kids Choice Overall winner will be awarded a Special Trophy. $ 10.00 Pre-Registration fee before April 30th, 2005 via mail to P.O. Box 1892, Rockwall, Texas 75087. $15.00 Registration fee day of event. Get there early for the best spaces. Vendors will also be on display along with Bounce houses for the kids.
