Now, I have been told that the best way to clean your fluid reservoirs is to use bleach. I had no luck with this so I figured that I would try something else. All that is needed is two SOS pads & some Ajax. First be sure that once you have removed your reservoirs that you have removed all the rubber hosing from the unit. Second that you carefully have removed the windshield fluid pimp. ( As with doing any kind of work under the hood or with electrical make sure that you have disconnect your auto battery cables) Now, gut simply place a reservoir in the sink or bucket & sprinkle some Ajax on the unit & using a wet SOS pad, scrub the BA-Jesus out of it. Rinse it off, make sure you have rinsed out the inside of it thoroughly & it is dry before reinstalling it. While the units are off this is a great time to clean some of those hard to reach places under the hood as well. The end result will surprise you. I didnt think that mine were that bad till I removed them.

For getting the crap out of the insides try about 3 Tbs. dishwasher powder(Cascade)in the tank(after sealing return line)then add HOT (really hot)water and shake alittle to mix,let set for afew minutes, then shake again and let set for a couple of hours, shake and empty and rinse. The dish washer is a good place to clean the outside also.
