Maybe some do not know this and I had to find out the hard way (and this is my 3rd Camaro).
Hatch weight is different for 3 reasons.
1) a hatch without a spoiler and wiper is 1 weight.
2) A hatch with just a spoiler is another and
3) a hatch with both a spoiler and wiper is yet another weight.
So as you can see there will be 3 different types of supports, it is hyper important to make sure you get the ones for the option you have. I did not, I got the one for both spoiler and wiper and it caused the hatch to open WAY to hard when I hit the switch to open it up.
After near 5 times of opening it like this, the glass protested but exploding, not during the opening but a little later after I went back inside.
This makes taking the wing off problematic as the struts push so hard that is made the entire spoiler piece push out about 2 full inches past the tail lights as well as it twisted the metal frame strip that holds the glass in place (that’s the part that almost always needs to be painted on the outside of the glass) and now I cant reuse that as well.
So please read and learn from my set back, know for sure what you need before you run out and get them. I found what I need (the right ones) for 40.00 for the pair (2). You do not need to go to a local store if you can wait and get them on eBay as well as Amazon for a lot less than a local store.
